Soderberg's new contract with Boston may not be official yet because he could be waiting for his release from the Swedish national team.
He had to negotiate a buyout with Linkoping, set a deal with the Bruins an request a release from the national team, which would allow him to skip the upcoming world championships, in order to join Boston. GM Peter Chiarelli has confirmed via e-mail that the team has agreed to a contract with Soderberg "But that doesn't mean anything yet." According to TSN, Soderberg could be with the Bruins as early as this weekend.
